Tomato Thokku


Ingredients:
Tomato ( Nattu )- 5 to 6
Garlic - 10
Dry Red Chilli - 10
Salt
Oil - 3 to 4 tbsp
Mustard - 1.5 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves - Few
Asafoetida - 2 pinch

Method:
1. Pressure cook tomatoes , garlic , dry red chilli with little water for 4 whistles. Allow it to cool down and make a paste.
2. Heat oil in a pan , add mustard seeds. Once it splutters add urad dal and curry leaves.
3. Add the ground paste and add asafoetida. Allow it to cook till the oil separates.
4. Adjust with required salt.
5. This can be served with Idly , dosa.

Note:
Nattu Thakkali would be more referred for the exact taste.



Chicken Momo


Ingredients:
Minced Chicken - 500 gms
All purpose flour - 1 cup
Salt
Butter - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Garlic chopped - 1 tsp
Soy sauce - 1/2 tsp

Method :
1. Make a dough out of all purpose by adding little salt and required water. Keep aside for 15 mins.
2. Mix the remaining ingredients.
3. Now male small balls of the dough.
4. Roll in like we prepare it for puri.
5. Keep little stuffing mixture and form the required shape.
6. Steam it and serve with sweet and chilli dip.

Note:
Refer sweet and chilli sauce dip varieties.

Sweet & Chilli Sauce



Ingredients :
Dry Red chilli - 10 to 15 
Garlic pods - 5 to 7
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt
Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
Ketchup - 3 tbsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Soy Sauce -  2 Drops ( Just for sour taste )

Method : 
1. Soak deseeded dry chilli in hot water. Make a paste of this.
2. Heat oil in a pan , add chopped garlic. Saute till it turns light brown.
3. Add the paste and saute the mixture until the raw smell disappears.
4. Now add the remaining ingredients. Allow it to cook for a minute.
5. This can be served with any starter like Momo's , spring rolls..
